I am dying to see this series.
This is the most anticipated show, showcasing two unusual friends connected by the one and only Captain America (Chris Evans).
Many villains from the Captain America movies like Zemo, Batroc are going to be featured in this and the two major protagonists, very clear from the title, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Streaming on Disney plus
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, a full action-packed series.
It was a happy ending for Cap in Endgame. He said goodbye to the MCU, stepping down and passing on his shield to his buddy Sam Wilson, aka Falcon. The shield is going to be a huge symbol in this series. In the trailer, we don't see anyone wielding the shield in a battle like situation, although we see Sam practicing throwing the shield, I think that both Sam and Bucky feel that they don't deserve the shield or they cannot live up to the shield's reputation.
On the MCU timeline, being after Endgame. Villains from the Captain America franchise will be the villains in this show as well. As they were previously Cap's nemeses, Sam and Bucky will probably feel that these people are their responsibility, the responsibility given to them.
The friendship between Sam and Bucky has been building since Civil War. Both friends of Cap, from different eras. It's hard for them to get along, let alone fight together, on the same side.
They did not have the best of meetings, with Bucky trying to kill Sam. But in this series, they will both have to carry the weight that was on Cap's shoulders. Of course, Captain America will be the driving force of this 6 part series.
I highly recommend watching the following movies before streaming this series. The scenes of Civil War and Endgame are sort of the only major events which occur between the two, but these are very crucial to the series as they explain the current situation of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier. Their sort of friendship and their funny comradery will be a treat to watch. Not to mention the over the top action scenes which we can expect from these series.
(i) Captain America: Civil War
Arguably the most important movie, leading into this series. This is the beginning of the duo. They both supported Steve in their own way, although their ways were completely different. Sam at first was untrustworthy of Bucky. After the events of The Winter Soldier, it is perfectly understandable. Sam believed that Bucky was an enormous danger, after all, The Winter Soldier could be awakened by saying a few Russian words (Thank god that got sorted).
Their duo provided great comedic relief in the movie and it was fun seeing Cap's buddies, new and old, to hang out and getting to know each other. Hopefully, we will see such comedy in the TV show as well.
From the scene of Captain America meeting Sharon Carter to the famous Airport Battle, this dynamic duo had its moments. It was hilarious to see them getting beat by Spiderman, a rather inexperienced hero compared to the two who displayed terrific fighting skills in The First Avenger and The Winter Soldier.
This series is going to be the best out of all the upcoming Disney + features. With all the thrill, excitement, and hoards of fans waiting for their favorite superheroes since 2019 for this very series, I think this is going to be a superb show.
(ii) Avengers: Endgame
In the wake of the brilliant battle won, Cap went to return the stones to the respective time at which they were taken, only to not return. He did eventually, but as an old man, having lived his fantasy life with Peggy Carter, ready to pass down the mantle to Sam. Bucky did not hesitate as even he knew that the shield was not safe in his hands as deep down, he felt that HYDRA could still control him.
It was a very emotional scene, but as Cap said the shield was in the right hands.
With the future ahead, Sam and Bucky were left to their own, probably never to see Cap again (Maybe a surprise cameo??).
Endgame left us with the best ending and marked a new beginning of a bright future moving on for the MCU.
It will not be the same without Captain America. But there will always be endings and new beginnings.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will carry on the legacy left to them.
We will see the effect of the events of Endgame on the individual characters, the void which was formed, which can't be filled.
One thing I am dying to see is Zemo getting into his classic outfit, the purple cap. It is driving me crazy just thinking about it.
So this is All you need to know before watching The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.
Maybe see this post before March 19, 2021, again just before the first episode releases.
