WandaVision Episode Three dropped this Friday, and it began the unraveling of the true mystery behind this MCU story arc.
There were many references and a final revelation of the supposedly make-belief world created by Wanda, who is truly being monitored by SWORD.
The stakes were raised, and it turns out that most people of the town of Westview know that are trapped in this world. Maybe they are also undercover agents, who wish to keep their identity a secret from Wanda.
The episode begins with the protagonists, happily living their life, probably in the 1970s based fictitious world. With Wanda and Vision expecting their children, the episode began on a very positive note. A very comedic sequence of events.
Because of the happenings of the first 2 episodes, Vision becomes suspicious about the authenticity of the town, but again whenever someone becomes suspicious, the whole incident is rewritten. They erase all the suspicious dialogues and a new chain of events begins.
Then we see another TV advertisement for 'Hydra Soak', Hydra is playing a bigger and deeper role in this series than anybody expected. With all the talk about 'The Falcon and The Winter Soldier' series, nobody imagined Hydra being in WandaVision.
A very mysterious scene happens with Herb, Agnes, and Vision. Both Agnes and Herb hint at the very ambiguous place that is Westview. They want to tell Vision about this, but they choose not to. A reveal to its secret may come in episode 4 next week.
Then as soon as Wanda is about to give birth, Vision rushes to get the doctor, and in walks Geraldine, all with her secrets and useless banter. She talks about her day and other general things. Then suddenly, Wanda goes into labor and Geraldine helps her with it. After the birth of the 2 boys, Tommy and Billy, who in the comics later become parts of the New Avengers, Wiccan, and Speed.
When Vision reaches the doctor's house, he hears the most strange line, about how hard it is to escape this small town. He did not say leave; he said escape, implying that he, along with the others, is trapped in this world.
After some time, Geraldine talks to Wanda about her actual life. During the conversation, Wanda's brother Pietro comes up and Geraldine tells Scarlet Witch about how Pietro died at the hands of Ultron. On hearing this, Wanda is overcome by a sensation of anger, loss, and confusion. Wanda sees the SWORD necklace on Geraldine aka Monica Rambeau's neck, and snaps. She does not want her life with Vision to be over and thus to protect this fantasized life; she kicks out Geraldine from this area and she lands outside of Westview, where we see various SWORD personnel camping outside, listening to all the happenings within the city and trying to wake up Wanda from her slumber.
There was a forcefield kind of thing inside which the town was situated.
This was a very exciting episode and now the real story has begun, which would at the end culminate into a good start for the MCU.
