#21 The Connection Between He Who Remains and The Scarlet Witch!!!

As we all know, in the Loki series, He Who Remains exactly knew when and how each event occurs till the end of time. He even knew how the conversation between him and the Lokis, was going to go down, but at a certain point, he suddenly doesn't know what is about to happen. His script ends even though it was not the end of the Multiverse. Why was is so?

I have been pondering over this question for some time now, and I think I may have finally solved this mystery.

----SPOILERS FOR THE LOKI AND WANDAVISION SERIES AHEAD----

In the post-credits scene of WandaVision, we see Wanda studying the Darkhold or the Book of The Damned, and suddenly she hears the voices of her children, probably from some branch timeline. I too believe that the time when Wanda hears their voices, it is some time (maybe a week or so) after the moment when the Multiverse shatters i.e when Sylvie kills He Who Remains.

In the comics there are two Nexus Beings, Kang and The Scarlet Witch. They are the only ones who can alter the timeline. The Time-Keepers, in the comics were wary of the Scarlet Witch and instructed Immortus to kill her, but he led her into a relationship with The Vision, which ultimately avoids the future Multiversal outbreak which even the the Time-Keepers feared.

But how could plotlines be adopted and showcased on the big screen in the MCU?

Here's how the MCU can use this storyline....

In WandaVision Episode 7, w see an ad for 'Nexus', obviously referring to Wanda's status as a Nexus being. If you understand each word of the ad we can make out that, Wanda is depressed after the events of WandaVision, she wants to be left alone. As the world around her is moving on, without a hassle, in the meantime she is studying the Darkhold and mastering her powers. There is a line "Ask your Doctor about Nexus", this line may be extrapolated to understand that Wanda may go to see Doctor Strange, to understand the working of a Nexus event. If Wanda could bring back her children, it will be a huge Nexus Event, but it will remove Wanda's depression, the Nexus event being Wanda's antidepressant. The next few lines just elaborate these points. The whole world will revolve around the Scarlet Witch as she creates the Multiverse of Madness, which we will see in Doctor Strange 2.

Until the events of WandaVision, He Who Remains had laid the path such that Wanda ever realises the true nature of her powers, but he knew that it is inevitable. He knew that someday, Wanda will become the Scarlet Witch and there is nothing he can do about it. So I believe that He Who Remains let himself be killed on purpose, as he knew it was the only way to save the Multiverse. He knew that the Scarlet Witch would wreak havoc on the Multiverse and so he stopped caring, and he didn't see the script of the universe any further. I believe that around the time when Sylvie kills He Who Remains, this is when Agatha Harkness tells Wanda that she is the Scarlet Witch.

In the comics, Immortus tricks Prime Kang into killing all his variants, and then this version of Prime Kang goes on to become Immortus. This cycle continues, to preserve the balance of the multiverse. But as Wanda is about to break this balance He Who Remains has set the life cycle of the Kangs anew, which hopefully will turn out in the next version of He Who Remains to bring order to this chaos.

He Who Remains believes that in order to counter the Scarlet Witch, we need a Multiversal War.
